Under general direction, designs complex hardware and software solutions for production and development. Coordinates with and drives projects with datacenter, development and production staff. Manages outage and emergency situations with datacenter, development and production staff. Advises architecture, product development and production environments on technical hardware and software issues. Responsible for defining, designing and implementing new and updated hardware and software solutions for development and/or production. Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of systems. Is primary contact for key applications and expert knowledge resource for production and development environments. Prepares funding documents and recommends cost savings on an ongoing basis. Hands off system administration tasks to systems administration teams.
5 years experience in job offered or 5 years experience in software development or software engineering. Experience in job offered or related field must include the following: Unix, Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache, iPlanet, Zabbix, Oracle DB, Java, JDBC/ODBC, SQL, PL/SQL, Rational Rose, Subversion, LDAP, IBM Tivoli, SSL, F5-BigIp, System Administration, Troubleshooting, BMC Patrol, HTML, Javascript, MS in computer science or equivalent, SDLC, Incident management, Configuration management.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, CIS, MIS, Technology, Computer Applications, or equivalent as determined by a professional credentials evaluation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
