Frontline Source Group - temporary staffing and direct hire firm - is looking for a Staff Accountant for our Southlake, TX client on a direct hire basis.
General Job Functions:
The Staff Accountant assists the Accounting Manager and Controller in gathering and reporting the financial data of the company. This position is responsible for preparing state sales tax returns and other reporting to state and federal governments, reconciling the bank accounts and assisting in the daily, weekly and monthly recording of financial transactions.
Summary of Position:
Prepare monthly sales and use tax returns and other reporting to state and federal governments. Process any customer tax refund requests. Assist with sales tax audits.
Reconcile all local and corporate bank accounts.
Review and record monthly standard journal entries, 401k contributions, commissions, credit card fees, etc.
Reconcile selected General Ledger account balances to insure accuracy.
Assist in the monthly and annual closing process and annual audit.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
Prepare ad hoc reports and complete special projects as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance required
2-3 years of related experience
