GI Technician at Surgicare Southlake
Assists with technical aspects of endoscopy under the direction of the physician and/or Endoscopy RN. Maintains and cleans endoscopy equipment. Provides patient care within prevailing national and state standards of practice and the policies of the facility. Communicates appropriate information to other team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Clinical Nurse Manager which include, but are not limited to, providing patient care in other perioperative departments, serving on committees, participating in QA/Performance Improvement audits and projects. Maintains aseptic environment during procedures.

Required Skills:
Qualifications:
High school diploma.
One-year experience in outpatient endoscopy, surgery or related field preferable.
Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and endoscopy procedures.
Demonstrates ability to work as a team member and to communicate directly and professionally. Is flexible, reliable, productive, patient-oriented, and self-motivated.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
